Internship Opportunity
Term: January to May 2011
Areas of responsibility include: Assisting the Executive Director, Administrative Director or Expo Director with office duties and special projects. Work with the Volunteer Coordinator, Kids Marathon Director and Charity Coordinator as directed. Assisting Operations Director and Logistics Director, Saturday Events Director, or Post Race Party Director with organization, planning of events and distribution of race supplies
Responsibilities:
  • General office duties
  • Solicit companies for product for insertion in runner goodie bag
  • Solicit vendors for exhibition at the Health & Fitness Expo
  • Be available to vendors during Expo to assist with any questions/problems during set-up and tear-down
  • Set-up of race weekend materials on course
  • Handling of materials needed for start and finish areas
  • Set-up of post race party materials while working with partner vendors
  • Assist in Registration and other data entry
  • Researching promotional and sales opportunities
  • Working events to ensure proper implementation of promotions and sponsorship fulfillment
  • Collaborate to provide volunteer base all details and materials they need
  • Assist with our charity partners as they work to raise money
