REGISTRATION OPEN FOR
11TH ANNUAL FLYING PIG MARATHON CINCINNATI (October 2, 2008) – On-line registration is now open for the events of the 11th annual Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon weekend, May 1-3, 2009, including the full marathon. “After a record registration for our 10th anniversary, the Flying Pig Marathon is looking forward to our 11th Marathon,” said Iris Simpson-Bush, executive director. “We expect the 2009 event to be more exciting than ever.” The largest field in Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon history saw 33-year-old Andy Martin of Bend, Oregon, take the men’s overall marathon title at the 10th anniversary running of the Marathon in 2008. Winning the women’s division was 39-year-old Michelle Didion of LaPorte, Indiana. A record field of 22,149, including 16,406 participants in the Sunday events, highlighted the celebration of the 10th Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon weekend.
