FLYING PIG MARATHON OPENS ON-LINE REGISTRATION
On-line registration is now open for the Ninth Annual Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon, to be held Sunday, May 6, 2007. Registration is now available on line for the full marathon and the half marathon presented by National City, as well as the Toyota 10K and the Flying Pig 5K and Flying Piglet Kids' Fun Run, to be held Saturday, May 5.
"It seems as if we just celebrated our 2006 marathon, and now it's time to start planning for the 2007 edition," said Iris Simpson-Bush, executive director. "For those planning to run the full marathon, now is the time to start training and sign up for the premiere events."
A record registration of some 15,000 participants signed up for the Flying Pig weekend of events from May 5-7, 2006. Cecil Franke of Dublin, Indiana, won the Eighth Annual Marathon in an event record time of 2:20:25. In the women's division, 36-year old Norah Shire of Hyde Park easily won in a time of 2:56:19.

The Ninth Annual Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon weekend will be May 4-6, 2007, featuring the National City Health and Fitness Expo and Expo-Tique, the Flying Piglet Kids' Fun Run, Flying Pig 5K, Toyota 10K, Half Marathon presented by National City and the Flying Pig Marathon. Corporate sponsors include CoActive Marketing Group, Corporate Express, Ernst & Young, Mercy Health Partners, National City, Old Spice High Endurance and Paycor.
