Kids Marathon Gets Smart @ the Library!

The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County is partnering with the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon and the Nutrition Council to help kids "Be Smart, Eat Well and Move More" with the Flying Pig Kids' Marathon @ the Library. Through May 5, kids ages 5-12 are invited to keep track of the distances they move, the healthy food choices they make and the time they spend exercising their brains. "Hog Logs" for tracking fitness, nutrition, and reading are available at all 42 library branch locations and online at www.flyingpigmarathon.com.

A launch party will take place Saturday Feb. 4th at 2pm at the Main Library's Children's Learning Center at Ninth and Vine streets with pig-themed games for the family, a Flying Pig mascot race, prizes and a nutritious "snacktivity" from The Nutrition Council.

In addition, the seven urban branches (Main Library, West End, Walnut Hills, Price Hill, Corryville, Clifton and Avondale) will each have their own group of marathoners meeting afterschool a fun marathon of wellness.

Join us for the kickoff on Saturday!
