Welcome to the Flying Pig Marathon February 2007 Squeal.
Tell Us Your “Pig Tales”
More than 15,000 participants registered for last year’s Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon, and there are as many human interest stories as there are runners and walkers. Why are you doing the “Pig” this year? If you’re a returning participant, why do you come back, or if you’re a first timer, why choose this race? Are you running for yourself, for a cause, for a loved one? Is it to mark a special birthday, or are you just doing it on a dare? Let us know your special story behind this year’s Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon and we’ll let everyone know why you’re “Big on the Pig!” Send your stories to email@example.com.
Registration for the 2007 Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon is tracking well ahead of last year’s pace. Make sure you get your registration in today before your event closes! Register at www.flyingpigmarathon.com to make sure you’ll be part of the Flying Pig Marathon weekend, May 4-6.

5K for a Cause
The Flying Pig Marathon has partnered with RHC to add another division to the 5K for a Cause. The Hope & Possibility Run is designed to encourage people of ALL abilities to get off the couch and be a part of an event that promotes a message that our lives are defined more by our determination than our bodies. Our goal is to organize 2-person teams that include an athlete with a disability and a non-disabled athlete on the 5K course and in training. The pairing of the teams will allow the partners to push each other to reach their personal goals while building a bond beyond each team member's physical realities. For event information or to find out more about how to be a guide in the Hope & Possibility Run go to www.flyingpigmarathon.com and click on ‘registration.’
The Flying Pig Marathon depends on more than 3,500 volunteers to keep the “Pig” running. We’re looking for individuals and groups who want to volunteer on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. You’ll get a cool ‘Grunt’ t-shirt and have the chance to be involved in the biggest street party around! If you’re interested in signing up, e-mail Volunteer Coordinator Mary Enzweiler at firstname.lastname@example.org for information.
