Your Vote Counts

You want to be inspired at the start line? Then name that tune! This year we're allowing you to vote, starting March 1, on what song you want to hear right after the starting gun of the Flying Pig Marathon on Sunday. Here are the 10 songs most often suggested by our staff, so vote for one of these, or add your own. We'll take your votes through April, then unveil the song you picked on Marathon morning!

Calling All Volunteers

If you want to volunteer for the Flying Pig Marathon events, make sure you get your registration in now, so you can have your choice of dates and times. We're still looking for "Grunts" on Marathon morning along the course, as well as the Saturday events and Expo on Friday and Saturday. And remember, the volunteers get the coolest shirts available for the weekend.

Click here to find out how you can help!

Hotel Rooms still available

If you're planning to do the Pig and need a hotel room, space is still available downtown. Room blocks for the Pig already are filled at the Millennium and the Hyatt, but many other hotels in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, all within walking distance of the Expo and Start Line, still have rooms.

Click here for hotel information or visit www.cincyusa.com.

Flying Pig Marathon Injury Prevention and Management - Lecture Presentation

If you're in the Cincinnati area and want to make sure you run and train injury free, you'll want to be at Bob Roncker's Running Spot in O'Bryonville on Thursday, March 6 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm for a special lecture on maneuvering the Flying Pig course pain-free. Presenting the lecture will be Dr. Sachin B. Patel, Chiropractic Physician and Kinesiologist, and Brian Nash, Marathoner. This lecture will focus on common running injuries with a special interest paid to injuries most commonly found among those who have run and trained for the Flying Pig. Cincinnati's unique topography plays a huge role in certain running related injuries. Space is limited to the first 75 to Register. Click here to register. Also, check out Bob Roncker's new store in the Village of Glendale, at 267 East Sharon Road.
