Do you have a special reason why you're running the Pig this year?
If so, drop us a note at media@flyingpigmarathon.com
along with your contact information and let
us know why you're "Big on the Pig!"
Pig Points: Today's tip comes from our
Flying Pig Medical
Staff
On the course there will be five aid tents
along the course, approximately every three
miles, with athletic trainers to take care of
minor injuries. At the end of your event, the
main medical tent will be set up just feet
from the finish line in case you need
treatment there. We want your experience to
be safe!
The Pig Welcomes the RRCA
While the Flying Pig Marathon celebrates its
10th anniversary this year, the Road Runners
Club of America will celebrate its 50th
anniversary convention during Pig weekend in
Cincinnati. The convention features a number
of clinics and speakers, and the weekend
culminates with the running of the RRCA
national championship race, the Flying Pig
Fleet Feet Sports 5K on Saturday morning.
Welcome to the RRCA, we hope you enjoy your
stay in Cincinnati!
The Greening 'o the Pig
Remember to recycle! From start to finish,
the Flying Pig Marathon will offer recycling
options for runners. At the start, watch for
the Tide laundry bins in the first few miles.
Your discarded sweatshirts and jackets that
you don't need for the rest of the race will
be laundered by Tide, then donated to local
shelters. Do your part to help make the Pig
green!
