Pig Points
For those carrying extra clothing, put your
extra gear in the marked school buses along
Central Avenue- look for the signs- and then
retrieve your gear bag from the same bus from
baggage claim, after the finish along the
railroad tracks at Yeatman's cove. Anything
left at the start will be donated to charity.
Calling All Volunteers
The Flying Pig Marathon always is looking for
some help over the weekend. In fact, it takes
more than 3,500 volunteers
to keep the Pig running each year! If you're
coming to the Pig to help cheer on a friend
or family member, think about donating some
of your time as well. That way you'll be part
of the Pig, too! (and get a nifty Grunt shirt!)
The Greening 'o the Pig
If you're driving downtown to the marathon
start area on Marathon Sunday, consider
carpooling. Not only will you save money on
parking, you'll save all-important resources.
And you'll have a car full of people you can
tell your running stories to, on the way back
home!
