Welcome to Day 9 of our daily e-mail blasts to help you prepare for the 10th annual Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon events.

Today's tip is guaranteed to make you smile at the finish line. We'll be taking your photo there! Be sure your race number is visible at all times on the front of what you are wearing so we can identify you. The same goes for along the course, where photographers from the Marathon and media outlets will be snapping your smiling face as you clip off the miles. And it doesn't hurt to write your name on your running shirt as well, so our "Street Squealers" can call out your name as they give you encouragement!

Races within the Race

There will be a number of competitions within the Marathon, including the return of the High Endurance fastest "Mile to the Finish." Also this year we've added the Head & Shoulders - "Heads above the Rest" award for Fastest Male & Female in each leg of relay and the Mr. Clean - "Clean your Clock" at the split, for the fastest time halfway through the Marathon.

The Greening 'o the Pig

If you're fortunate enough to be running near the front, take a special look at the pace vehicles at the head of the pack. Toyota is using its hybrid cars to help power the Pig and save energy at the same time. Toyota is just one of our sponsors who is helping to keep the Pig green!
