Greetings!
Welcome to Day 13 of our daily e-mail blasts to help you prepare for the 10th annual Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon events.
Debbie Canvasser from Michigan is heading to
Cincinnati for her first Pig, and here's why:
"I starting a walking program with my
husband, 2 sister in laws and my brother in
law to raise money for Leukemia & Lymphoma in
honor of my sister in law who is currently in
remission from lymphoma. It has taken me 2
years to talk the group into going from
Michigan to Cincinnati to participate in the
Flying Pig. I have been training hard and
can't wait for the race. I won't set any
records, but I plan on having a really good
time." Look for Debbie and her group over
Flying Pig Marathon weekend, and let us know
why you're coming to the Pig this year. Email us at media@flyingpigmarathon.com
along with your contact information.
Pig Points
Mail-in registration is now closed, but you
can register for the Saturday Pig events in
person, or for the Sunday events at the
Flying Pig Health & Fitness Expo presented by
National City on Friday, May 2 and Saturday,
May 3. Remember, no on-site registration is
available Sunday morning for the Sunday events.
"Swine Line" Breakfast available
Once again this year, a light breakfast will
be available at the "Swine Line" tent by the
Marathon finish line on Sunday morning. If
you're waiting for your friends and family
members to cross the finish line, wait for
them in comfort with a bagel and fresh
coffee. Stop by the tent Sunday morning and
get your ticket for our "Swine Line" breakfast.
The Greening 'o the Pig
Look for the 'green' section of the Expo to
see the latest in energy-saving ideas from
our sponsors, including Duke Energy, Toyota
and the City of Cincinnati. And you can help
the cause, with a donation to our 'green'
effort to plant more than 4,000 trees in
Cincinnati. Just one more way that the Pig is
going green!
