The Pig is turning out to be a family tradition for David Dawson from the Cincinnati suburb of Mt. Lookout:

"Hi! I've run the team relay the past two years. I moved to Cincinnati 20 years ago and thought that the running the full marathon would be a fitting way to mark 20 years in the city I absolutely love! My wife decided to take my place on the relay team so we're hoping to see each other on the course. We've got our babysitter spending the night and she's planning to bring our two young children to see the race and hopefully catch momma and daddy running!"

This is the start of Flying Pig Marathon week in Cincinnati. If you live in the area, or if you're coming into town early, come down to Fountain Square, starting Wednesday, for our "Pig Parties on the Square." We'll have music, last-minute registration, and "Pig Paraphernalia" to celebrate Marathon weekend!

This reminder: Walkers are welcome in all Flying Pig events. If you're planning to register at the Flying Pig Health & Fitness Expo presented by National City at the Duke Energy Center, make sure check "Walker" where it asks for which division you'll be entering.
