Flying Pig Marathon Named Top 10 “Most Fun”
The Cincinnati Flying Pig marathon has been named
one of the top 10 in the country for fun! That’s
according to the January 2006 edition of Runner’s
World magazine. Read more about the honor in the press release.
Flying Pig Welcomes P & G’s High Endurance
In 2006 the Flying Pig Marathon welcomes the Old
Spice High Endurance brand to the Marathon lineup, with the High Endurance “Mile to the Finish” award
for the fastest man and woman on the marathon’s final mile. “We’re thrilled to add High Endurance to
the marathon,” said Iris Simpson-Bush, executive director. “The “Mile to the Finish” award certainly
rewards those runners who have ‘high endurance’ to the end.”
Training Schedule for Beginners Now On Line
If you’re a beginning runner, the training schedule now on line is for you! Thanks to High Endurance for sponsoring a training program that
starts from mile 1 and builds you up to marathon distance between now and the Flying Pig Marathon
on May 7. This program was developed in collaboration with Bob Roncker’s Running Spot. Check
out the training schedule and see if it’s right for you.
National City Presents Health and Fitness “Expo-Tique”
The 2006 Flying Pig Marathon Health and Fitness
Expo features a new sponsor and a new emphasis on
women’s health. This year’s Expo is brought to you by
National City and features an “expo-tique” within the
Expo, focusing on skin care, bone density and other
health and wellness issues, especially for women.
Happy Holidays!
The staff of the Flying Pig Marathon wishes everyone
a happy holiday season and a healthy New Year. And
don’t forget to mark your new 2006 calendar for the
weekend of May 5-7, for the 8th annual Cincinnati
Flying Pig Marathon, one of the top 10 Most Fun
Marathons in the country!
