Registration
Registration Policies
Please read carefully before registering for any event(s).
- No refunds or transfers.
- Participants unable to participate may pick up their runner packet and turn in their timing chip. Or they may have someone else pick up their packet for them. Their representative must show a copy of the participant's photo ID and a note authorizing the representative to pick up the packet, in order to claim the packet and premiums.
- Participants unable to get to packet pick-up may have someone else pick up their packet for them. Their representative must show a copy of the participant's photo ID and a note authorizing the representative to pick up the packet in order to claim the packet and premiums.
- Participants may switch races. They must notify the Flying Pig office by e-mail or US mail of their request by April 14, 2008. After that date switches may be done at packet pick-up at the Expo. All requests must be accompanied by a $10 processing fee.
- Relay teams may make substitutions to their team. Have the substitute fill out an entry form with a note as to whom they are replacing on which team, and bring to the Expo when you pick up your team packet.
- Participants must be 18 years of age on race day to participate in the full marathon, 14 years of age for the half marathon or relay, and 12 years of age to participate in the 10K.
- Failure to return timing chip will result in a $35 replacement fee, due no later than 30 days after the event.
LORD'S GYM Pump N' Run
The PUMP N' RUN (PNR) is an optional "Full Fitness Competition", offered to all 5K, 10K, half and full marathon participants. The participant will have the same running experience as their race peers, but now be able to compete for additional awards, which uniquely combines running ability and weight lifting skill. To register as an individual, choose the Pump N' Run option on the entry form.To also register a 2-Person Team (2-Male, 2-Female, or COED), at no extra charge, go to www.pumpandrunrace.com, and provide the following information: Both person's names, team captain's name and telephone number, team name and race division. If you sign up for a team, you are still competing as an individual.
Pre-race weight lifting is Friday at the Duke Energy Center from Noon to 8:00 p.m. for all race divisions (5K, 10K, half and full marathon). On Saturday at Sawyer Point, weight lifting times are 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. for the 10K only and 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for the 5K only. Also, on Saturday at Duke Energy Center, weight lifting is from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for the half and full marathon.
Important Registration Deadlines: Participants can also register in person, at the National City Health & Fitness Expo, on Friday May 1 from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. or Saturday, May 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
10K participants can register on-site May 2 at Sawyer Point from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. 5K participants can register on-site May 2 at Sawyer Point beginning at 9:00 a.m.
