Fleet Feet Sports No Boundaries 5K Beginners Training Program

the Official Training Program for the 2010 Flying Pig 5K

The Fleet Feet Sports No Boundaries 5K training program is designed for beginner runners and people who are currently inactive or minimally active.

This Spring, join Fleet Feet Sports and New Balance to walk or run your first 5k. The program focuses on beginners, but all levels of walkers and runners are welcome. The program is structured to help you cross the finish line of your first 5K in less than three months.

Along the way we’ll be providing you with motivation to keep you moving, guidance and advice, weekly group training runs or walks, and educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury. Plus, you’ll have the camaraderie of others just like you.

The program will begin on Wednesday, February 17th at 6:30 p.m. at Fleet Feet Sports.

As part of the experience, program participants will receive the following:
  • A complete 10-week training program and calendar with detailed workouts provided
  • One coached training session per week, to be held at Fleet Feet Sports every Wednesday @ 6:30 p.m.
  • Informational clinics on proper footwear, injury prevention, and nutrition
  • A weekly e-mail with tips, advice and motivation/encouragement
  • Dedicated support from the coaches and Fleet Feet Sports staff to answer individual questions
  • Additional weekly group runs & walks available from Fleet Feet Sports
  • A special shopping night; and
  • A New Balance Technical T-shirt and other New Balance Goodies.

The fee for the program is $75 (This fee does not include the race registration fee).
