How To Volunteer
The Flying Pig Marathon needs more than 3000 volunteers for several important areas of the Marathon - before, during, and after the race. Each Volunteer receives a T-shirt, admission to the Post Race Party, and access to the Volunteer Tent at Yeatman's Cove on Sunday, May 3, 2009.

Volunteer Assignment Descriptions:
- Expo Set-up - Help out in the set up of various areas of the Expo and other pre-race preparations.
Location: Duke Energy Convention Center. Date: Thursday, May 1
- Health & Fitness Expo - Assist with packet pick up and other Expo activities.
Location: Duke Energy Convention Center.
Date: Friday and Saturday, May 2-3
- 5K, 10K, Kids Mile Marathon, Piglet Fun Run - Assist with registration, start lines, finish lines, and course monitoring.
Location: Yeatman's Cove
Date: Saturday, May 3
- Marathon Day - Assist in several areas on Sunday, May 4
- Start Line - Provide information to runners near Paul Brown Stadium, assist in clean up, serve as course monitors in downtown area
- Relay Exchange - Assist runners in transition through exchange zones, hand out water, tear down stations
- Course Timer - Call out times and pace at each mile marker
- Merchandise Sales - Assist in selling official Pig merchandise at booths in the Post Race area of Yeatman's Cove
- Info Pig - Provide information to runners and spectators at various locations. Training provided.
